Praise the Lord we have found a house. We will probably move the end of March or the first of April. As we have mentioned before our rent would probably triple and it did and that is not unusual because that has become the norm here. Please pray and believe with us that Father will provide for the increase in our expenses.
We will continue with the world coming to an end and no one knows the day nor the hour. We ended last months newsletter with Matthew 24:35 where Jesus said “heaven and earth will pass away and He continued with the days of Noah. As we come to realize that when Noah walked out of the ark the sun, moon, stars, etc. were still there. It will help us considerably in our understanding when we understand who Jesus was talking to in reference to the “heaven and earth”. In John 1:11 it is recorded “He (Jesus) came to His own, and His own did not receive Him”. In Matthew 23 Jesus gave a sharp rebuke to the scribes and Pharisees and in Matthew 23:36 we read “I say to you, all these things will come upon “this generation”. Matthew 24:34-35 Jesus said “I say to you, “this generation” will by no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled” and then He follows by saying “heaven and earth will pass away”. I have often challenged the brethren with this thought. Now if Jesus said “all these things will come upon “this generation”, then if the generation to whom He spoke to was not going to see or experience it then what would be the purpose in telling them because it would be irrelevant to them. Another point to be made here is from Matthew 24:38 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark”. You will notice the words days and day, “days before the flood and until the day that Noah entered the ark. The same people who were eating and drinking, marrying in the days before Noah entered the ark involves the same people in the day Noah entered the ark. Peter being one of Jesus’s disciples heard Jesus say as He walked out of the temple “not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down Matthew 24:2. Peter being one of the disciples ask Jesus “when will these things be, sign of Your coming and the end of the age” Matthew 24:3. It is interesting to note from 1 Peter 4:7 Peter said “the end of all things is at hand”. Why would Peter say this if it were not for the words Jesus had already spoken to him and he knew the fulfillment, “is at hand”. Listen to James 5:8 “Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming (presence) of the Lord draweth nigh (is at hand)”. In Mark 1:15 Jesus said “the kingdom of God is at hand. The Greek word for “is at hand” used by Jesus, James (draweth nigh) and Peter is the same word. The kingdom of God was the only message Jesus taught and He gave expression to its very presence and existence and He even said the kingdom of God is within you Luke 17:21. Peter gives further insight from 11 Peter 3:1-13. Verses 5-6: For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. It is obvious that Peter is speaking here of the days of Noah.
And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together. Luke’s account differs from what was recorded by Matthew in the sense the disciples ask “Where Lord”. As I had mentioned before the most common response was they were taken to heaven and because of Jesus’s response to their question leads many to believe Jesus was talking about some place called heaven. Let’s read Weymouth New Testament translation of Luke 17:37 which is more accurate as it is written in Greek: "Where, Master?" they inquired. "Where the dead body is," He replied, "there also will the vultures flock together" and also from the Concordant Literal Version: And answering, they are saying to Him, "Where, Lord? Yet He said to them, "Wherever the body is, there the vultures also will be assembled." Matthew 24:28(KJV) corresponds to Luke 17:37 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Weymouth New Testament Matthew 24:28 Wherever the dead body is, there will the vultures flock together. Concordant Literal Version Matthew 24:28 Wheresoever the corpse may be, there will the vultures be gathered." After reading these verses as they are more correctly translated you might want to ask yourself does this sound like a place that you would want to be for ages?
God said: “I will destroy them with the earth (world) Genesis 6:13. If it was the literal earth that was corrupt and filled with violence then we might ask, how did it get corrupt? When Noah and his family walked out of the ark the earth, sun moon, stars, etc. was still there. In Matthew 24:35 after Jesus said “heaven and earth will pass away and He continued on with the days of Noah, was He really saying the literal heavens and earth will pass away? We must always bear in mind there is a difference between the letter and spirit of the word. Traditions are hard to break.

                                               to be continued

Prayer Request:
Feb. 5th. - Blessed & Anointed Ministry - King’ongoi
Feb. 12th. - KICC Fellowship - Langas
Feb. 19th. - Jubilee Harvest Church - Huruma
Feb. 26th. - Potters House Christian Center - Langas

Please send all contributions to this address:
Mission To East Africa, Inc.
P. O. Box 5163
Eldoret, Kenya (EA)
Email: missiontoeastafrica@gmail.com

May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
Lets continue with the “end of the world” where the most common response was “no one knows the day nor the hour” as recorded in Matthew 24: 36-44. Here Jesus is speaking of the days of Noah. So lets look in Genesis to see what was happening in the days of Noah. In Genesis 6:5-13 we read: And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Genesis 7:1 & 12 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. Genesis 8:1-4 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided; The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated. And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. In Noah’s day God brought judgement upon the world by means of the flood because of the wickedness of man’s heart. In Genesis 6:13 we read where God said “I will destroy them with the earth”. After the waters decreased the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat so the earth was still there. So we must ask ourselves what earth (world) was destroyed? It is interesting to note that the same flood that destroyed the wicked also delivered the righteous. We read in 1 Peter 3:20 “eight souls were saved through water”.
In Jesus’s description of Noah’s day from Matthew 24:40 & 41 we read: Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. I ask the brethren this question: Who was taken and who was left? The response was the good were taken and the evil were left and one was taken to heaven and the other was left. In this account and also in Luke 17:34-36 Jesus didn’t say the good were taken and the evil were left or the good taken to heaven. He just said one was taken and the other was left. So I ask the brethren where did your understanding come from? He said that is what I have always heard and been taught. Traditions are hard to break!
We will be meeting with the landlord in December to discuss the house situation. Please continue to pray with us.
About a month before we left Kenya in June for the states there was another prediction concerning the world coming to an end. We became aware of this because it was on the news in Kenya. We are all aware that this is not the first prediction of this kind nor will it be the last. Out of curiosity in several of the meetings before we left Kenya I ask the question, When you heard the world was coming to an end what scripture or words come to mind? The response was no one knows “the day nor the hour“. Before we look at ”the day nor the hour” lets first look at the words “the end of the world”. In the King James Version of the bible Jesus said “the end of the world” in Matthew 13:39 & 49, Matthew 24:3 & Matthew 28:20. In these verses the translators took the Greek word “aion” which means “age or period of time” and translated it with the word “world” which is incorrect. The same is true in Hebrews 9:26. With this error many have the belief the world is coming to an end (traditions are hard to break) when Jesus said no such thing. Paul speaks of this age (KJV-world) and that which is to come in Ephesians 1:21. So Paul speaks of one age ending and another one beginning so Jesus simply spoke of the age ending not the world.
One of the most frequently used verses concerning the day and hour is Matthew 24:36-44 and they read as: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
To Be Continued The Doctor said there was no reading at all in his eye and glasses can not help anymore. He still does not have any insurance and we have been told this is going to cost $4,250.00. He will be having cataract surgery on August 10th. So we are believing the Lord to supply our need someway.

Please send all contributions to this address:
Mission To East Africa, Inc.
P. O. Box it can also be sent to this address: 1317 Ridge Road, Sandersville, Ga. 31082. It will certainly be put to good use and Thank you so much.

We will be in the States for three months, arriving June 14th. Anyone wishing to be in contact with us for any reason please feel free to contact us through Carolyn Wallace at 478-552-2907 or through Email: missiontoeastafrica@gmail.com

Please send all contributions to this address:
Mission To East Africa, Inc.
P. Box 5163
Eldoret, Kenya (EA)
Email: missiontoeastafrica@gmail.com

May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
Continuing with “Who chooses Who”. As we ended last months newsletter with the inspired words of Paul “who can separate us from the Love of God”. We must ask the question, if we feel we can choose or there is something that can separate us from the love of God we or whatever that thing maybe is more powerful than God. In Revelation 4:11 we are told that God created all things. So with any stretch of the imagination do you think that our Father who is all knowing thought for one moment that He might be taking a chance that one day something He created would overcome His authority and power. If someone could separate themselves from the love of God (God is love) then where would they go because God is a omnipresent spirit. If you have any doubts about God being omnipresent then read Psalm 139:7-12.
Let’s look at a few verses of scripture where Jesus called His disciples. Matthew 4:19, He called Peter and Andrew, Matthew 9:9, He called Matthew, John 1:43-51, He called Philip and Nathanael. What we see here is that when Jesus called these disciples He simply said “Follow Me” nothing else. There was no conditions, no sinners prayer, not any formula to follow, etc. Before someone gets upset with what I just said lets be honest. Do you find a sinners prayer in the bible, do you find anywhere in the bible where Jesus or Paul said to anyone if you want to be born again you must say a sinners pray, of course Paul never used the term born again. What is widely understood today is the criteria for one being born again is to say a sinners pray. The emphases is placed on the saying of the prayer and not the Lord Himself who quickens the unregenerate. Is it wrong to say a sinners prayer certainly not for God has certainly used a sinners prayer. A sinners prayer is meaningless if the person is not first quickened by God regardless of whether one says a prayer or not. As I had mentioned in a previous newsletter about this young man telling us he had said the sinners prayer twelve times and it didn’t work. Instead of continuing with any given form we should ask ourselves maybe there is something that I am not understanding. I could use myself as an example here but I will use another situation instead. Several years ago I was ministering on the kingdom of God and afterwards the Pastor was closing the meeting and he told me there was a young man who wanted to be born again and would I pray for him and I said of course. When the young man came to me I told him that I do not know how the Lord has dealt with you or spoken to you but I want you to express to the Lord your feelings or convictions. I told him I am not going to put words in your mouth by telling you to repeat after me because you know what's going on inside of you better than I do. The young man was hesitant for a while because he didn’t know what to do or how to respond because this was not the norm. So I told him to pray and express what you are feeling to the Lord then we will pray with him and so he did.
                               To be continued

Prayer Request:
Every Wednesday Personal Ministry to Alpa & Daniel
May 1st. - Potters House Christian Center - Langas
May 11th. - 13th. - Word Of Light Church - Eldoret
May 14th. - Free Pentecostal Church - Mulimani
May 15th. - Jubilee Harvest Church - Huruma
May 22nd. - Blessed And Anointed - Huruma
May 29th. - Precious Faith Ministries - Eldoret

We will be in the States for three months, arriving June 14th. O. Box 5163
Eldoret, Kenya (EA)

May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
We will continue with the words of Paul from 1 Corinthians 2:14 “the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God”. If the natural man, unregenerate or not born again person does not have the ability within himself to receive the things of the Spirit then how do you suppose he will be able to hear the gospel or get born again? We might say well I preach the gospel to him or her so now they have heard. If the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God then did he or she really hear or was it just the sound of your voice? If they were not quickened first by the Spirit then they heard nothing of the Spirit. As I mentioned before what did Nicodemus hear Jesus say? In Ephesians 2:1 Paul tells the Ephesians brethren “you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins”. “Who were dead”? They were not dead physically but dead to the things of the Spirit of God. Have you ever tried to talk to a corpus? If you say either good or bad things to it’ does it respond in anyway or if you were to slap it would it slap you back? Obviously the answer is no, Why? Because it is dead, it is unresponsive. Could it chose or make a decision to live? As Paul said to the Ephesians “you were dead”. In order for them to respond to the words of life or to the things of the Spirit, then they first had to be quickened by the Spirit otherwise they couldn’t respond. What we have seen over the years is that when someone doesn’t respond to their preaching they come with their threats of hell fire, condemning them for not accepting or agreeing with what they had to say, you have no excuse I have told you so you have heard. To me this is like condemning a child for being a child or a dog for being a dog. Again the question arises does the natural man or a dead person (to the things of the Spirit) have within himself the ability to chose life or make any decision to the things of the Spirit unless he or she is first quickened by the Lord in them? I remember several years ago there was a young Asian man living here in Eldoret who was Ismailis brand of Muslim. He told us one day that many Christians would come to him and pretend to be his friend but when he didn’t accept or agree with what they said he would never see them again. Did they really want to be his friend or did they just want to preach at him? It was Paul’s zeal for Judaism that caused him persecute the followers of Jesus but we read in Galatians 1:13-16 where Paul says “when it pleased God, who separated me”. This was certainly not of Paul’s choosing and even didn’t have anything to do with it. It became Paul’s experience “when it pleased God”. In Acts chapter 7 Stephen is reiterating to the Jews their history to them beginning with Abraham up to the present. Did they hear Stephen? Certainly not. They were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth and they took him out of the city and stoned him. Who was standing there giving his consent? You guessed it, Saul (Paul). Did Paul hear what Stephen was saying? Paul didn’t begin to hear until his Damascus road experience. Who came to him? The Lord Jesus appeared to him (Acts 9:17). Do we usually accept or agree with something we can not understand?

To be continued

Prayer Request:
Every Wednesday: Personal Ministry to Alpa & Daniel
Feb. 6th. & 13th. - Potters House Christian Centre - Langas
Feb. 20th. - Jubilee Harvest Church - Huruma
Feb. 27th. - Blessed & Anointed Ministry - Huruma

Please send all contributions to this address:
Mission To East Africa, Inc.
P. O. Box 5163
Eldoret, Kenya (EA)

     May
you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day
as He is being unveiled in you.
We will continue with our study
of “Who Chooses Who”. We looked at several different people in the
bible last month that God chose. Now we will consider one other
character which plays a interesting part considering all that has been
said. When we carefully read Job 2:1 - 7. You will realize, God instigated the whole thing with Job. The Lord said to satan, Have you considered My servant Job (verse 3). Satan told God stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh (verse 5). Who became God’s hand? The Lord said to satan, Behold he is in your hand, but spare his life (verse 6).
Not only did satan become God’s hand or His chosen vessel but the Lord
put the limitations on what satan could do so God was in control of what
happened to Job. One more thought here. I have read the book of Job
many times but I have never come across any verse where Job blamed God
or satan.
In John 6:44 Jesus says “No one can come to Me except
(unless, if not) the Father who sent Me draws him”. The meaning of the
word “draws” in this verse literally means “to drag” sounds like to me
against their own choice. So unless you add some other idea to this
verse the one being drawn is not making any kind of choice or decision.
John 6:65 “no one can come to Me unless it has been given (not choosing) to him”. John 12:32 Jesus says “if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw (to drag) all to Myself”. John 15:16
Jesus says “ You did not choose Me, but I chose you”. Jesus is telling
His disciples “I chose you” but it was really the Father who chose them
because in the Lord’s prayer in John 17:9 “I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me”. Acts 10:38 - 41 Peter is testifying, “not to all people, but to witnesses chosen before by God”. Acts 13:2 “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them”. Romans 9:11 -16 & 21
“not yet being born (chosen before being born) nor having done any good
or evil”. Paul goes on to reveal the purpose, “that the purpose of God
according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls”.
Paul sheds further light on the subject from 1 Corinthians 2:14
“the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God”. If
the natural man, unregenerate or not born again person does not have the
ability within himself to receive the things of the Spirit then how do
you suppose he will be able to hear the gospel or get born again? Jesus
said in John 6:63 “My words are Spirit and they are life”. This
should be clear to us that if and when the natural man receives the
things of the Spirit the ability comes from outside of himself. You
remember the conservation Jesus had with Nicodemus in John 3:1 - 7. Jesus spoke of a spiritual birthing but Nicodemus only understood a natural birth.

To be continued

Prayer Request:
Every Wednesday: Personal Ministry to Alpa & Daniel
Jan. 2nd. - Blessed & Anointed Ministry - Huruma
Jan. 8th. - Free Pentecostal Church - Kananachi
O. Box 5163
Eldoret, Kenya (EA)
Email: missiontoeastafrica@gmail.com

May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
Lets continue with our thoughts on “Who Chooses Who” and I firmly believe the scriptures will reveal the truth of the matter. We will start in the beginnings. Genesis 3:24 we read where God drove out the man and placed a flaming sword to guard the way to the tree of Life (which symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ). So this tells us God is the one who drove man out so He is the one and the only one Who can open the way to the tree of Life, not someone deciding for themselves. Isaiah makes this very clear to us. Isaiah 64:6-9 where we read “no one calls on Your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of You”. The words “that stirreth up himself” means through the idea of opening the eyes, to rouse oneself, to awaken, to incite. Lets consider Abram (Abraham), Jeremiah and Paul to name a few. In Genesis 11:26-31 we find that Terah was the father of Abram and dwelt in the land of Ur of the Chaldeans. In Genesis 12:1-3 God spoke to Abram telling him to leave his country, kindred and his father’s house, etc. According to Joshua 24:2 we are given the reason God told Abram to leave, was because they served other gods (they were idol worshipers, he was a Chaldean). The bible doesn’t say Abram was looking for God, or called upon God, someone was preaching to him or he was even at a meeting. God simply chose Abram, not the other way around. In Jeremiah 1:1-5 we read where God chose Jeremiah before he was ever born so it is obvious Jeremiah didn’t choose God. Then there is Paul. Acts 9:1-6 we see Saul (Paul) was not looking for God and in fact he thought he was doing what God wanted him to do. Then in Acts 9:15 & Acts 22:14 the Lord says he is a chosen vessel of mine. Here again God chose Saul not the other way around and this is the case through out the scriptures. Jesus even says in His prayer in John 17:12 concerning His disciples “Those whom You gave Me”. John 1:9 the Lord is the true Light“which gives light to every man”. Without the giving of light then mankind remains in darkness. I presented this question to some pastors a couple of years ago. Is God the only one who can save someone and naturally the response was yes. I said if you go out and preach the gospel as you know it to the lost and no one responds, how would you feel and they said they would feel bad. My response was if you truly believe the Lord is the only who can save then if you do what you say the Lord has told you to do then it is not up to you whether they respond or not therefore you should not feel bad. I also left them with another thought. If you tell the people how much God loves them and they do not respond then why do you condemn and threaten them with hell fire if God is the only one who can save them? Apparently you feel that it is up to you so you use what ever words you feel are necessary.

To be continued

Prayer Request:
Dec. 5th. & 12th. - Restoration Living Hope Ministries - Langas
Dec. 19th. - Jubilee Harvest Church - Huruma
Dec. 26th. - Potters House Christian Centre - Langas

A few weeks back we ministered with Bro. George Muketi at Kipkaren whom
we haven’t seen in about a year because we have both been busy. We
really missed him and we enjoy sharing with George because he is open
and he is like us he questions things. He had just returned from
Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi. We were talking before the meetings about
how many brethren except many things as truth and continue preaching it
when they see and know just the opposite. Its like they except the fact
that this is what they have been taught and many brethren are preaching
it so we must continue with the program and deny the facts. This is
not the case with George or us. This leads me to something we would
like to share with you that we have seen over the years here in Kenya
and we have shared these thoughts many times with the brethren. What is
interesting is they will agree because they have seen the same things
and yet they do not question it or even search the scriptures for
answers. I guess they must except that this is just the way it is and
so it is business as usual.
I will give you a little background as to what lead us to
prayerfully consider what was happening in order to be of some help.
Over the years there has been and it still continues a untold number of
crusades, open air meetings, etc., with untold numbers getting saved. I
told someone if the numbers are correct then everyone in Kenya would
have been saved a least three times. I made this statement in a meeting
one time if all of these people are getting saved, is Kenya becoming a
better nation? The response was it is not getting better its getting
worse. Shortly after arriving in Kenya in 1990 there was a big crusade
here in Eldoret by an internationally known evangelist. This ministry
was working with many of the local pastors and they would be doing the
follow-up on the new converts. After the crusade was over the new
converts were told in what areas of Eldoret they were to go for
follow-up. I met with some of these pastors and ask how was the
follow-up and the response was nobody came to any of them and yet we
were told hundreds got saved. I have mentioned in the past I met a
young man who told me he had said the sinners prayer twelve times and it
hadn’t take yet. Do we just assume that this young man didn’t believe
or have faith in what he prayed or maybe our understanding of the matter
is wrong. We can rest assure when our beliefs or doctrines are brought
under the light of the scriptures they will either stand or fall and it
they fall we haven’t lost anything.
The truth of the matter is, its not about a prayer, saying the
correct words or choosing Jesus because it all begins with the Father
and I firmly believe the scriptures will reveal this to us. In Genesis 1:1:
we read “In the beginning God“. This is not the beginning of God
because the bible says ”He is before all things” and He has no
beginning. Genesis means origin or source so we will begin in Genesis
in our quest to see “Who chooses Who”, is it up to mankind to choose or
does God move first. To be continued
Box 5163
Eldoret, Kenya (EA)
Email: missiontoeastafrica@gmail.com

May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
As we continue to look at the “Day” our perception of it may begin to change as we allow the scriptures to reveal the correct meaning of the word by its usage in scripture. 1 John 1:5 “God is Light” or God is the “Day”. Over the years we have all heard a lot said about the “last days” and what is attached to it depends upon one’s understanding. We have heard the predictions, speculations, horror stories, etc., about the “last days” which in turn really propagates a lot of fear and we know God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear and fear has torment. Let’s look at the New Testament scriptures where we find the words “the last days” in order to find the truth: Acts 2:17: “in the last days”, the Greek word for “in” used here is #1722 meaning a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), 11 Timothy 3:1: “in (#1722) the last days perilous times”, we also need to take into consideration is the definite article “the” has been added by the translators so we are not told when these last days begin or end. We can know for sure that people all over the world are experiencing perilous times whether Christian or non-Christian. Hebrews 1:2: “in (#1909) these last days”, the Greek word used for “in” here is #1909 meaning a primary preposition properly meaning superimposition (of time, place, order, etc.), James 5:3: “for the last days”, “for” is ( “in” #1722) and the definite article “the” has been added, 2 Peter 3:3: “in” (#1909) the last days”, we need to consider the context in which Peter used these words. First of all Peter was an Apostle to the Jews, he was reminding them of something that they already knew or had heard. Now if Peter was making reference to the time in which we live in or beyond then what would be the point in reminding them, if it was not relevant to them? It was the last days of Judaism, the natural temple, the priesthood with all of its outward rituals, offering, sacrifices, etc., because Peter knew the end was near. Peter died between 64 AD and 66 AD. The Roman General Titus and his army destroy everything in Jerusalem in 70 AD. After careful considering the scriptures above let’s read Revelation 1:11 & 17, 2:8 & 22:13 where we find the words “ I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last; the beginning and the end. If we are trying to relate the last days to the end of the world or whatever these scriptures tell us the end is a Person, He is the first and the last, He is the Day not a date on the calender. By inspiration Paul reveals these words from Romans 11:36: ”of” (denotes origin) Him, and through (denotes the channel of an act) Him, and “to” (”into” - indicating the point reaches or entered) Him are all things. Its obvious we began in Him (beginning) and we will end in Him and everything that transpires along our journey is not outside of His control or authority. As we mentioned before we hear a lot about “the last days” but you hear very little if anything about “the last day” which we will consider later.

Prayer Request:
Sept. 4th. - Beroya Gospel Fellowship - Kananachi
Sept. 5th. & 12th. - Restoration Living Hope Ministries - Langas
Sept. 16th. - 20th. - Calvary Jesus Church - Migori
Sept. 26th. - Jubilee Harvest Church - Huruma

Please send all contributions to this address:
Mission To East Africa, Inc.
P. May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
In the beginnings God called the light “Day”, and the darkness He called “night”(a twist or deviation, away from the light) (Genesis 1:5). Also In Genesis 1:4 we read that God divided the light from the darkness or we could say Spirit from the flesh, truth from error, programs, creeds, doctrines (man made substitutes) from reality. God is “Light” or God is the “Day”. We must be reminded that we are not talking about a twenty-four hour day or even a day of the week here. God who has begun a good work in you will complete it until day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). From the very onset God divided the light from the darkness and He is still dividing the light from the darkness in us until there is no more deviations, then the person of Him shines forth. In the book of Revelation John saw this same truth. Revelation 21:2; John saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down “out of” (A primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence motion or action proceeds), from, out (of place, time or cause) God, prepared as a bride, Verse 9 & 10; “the bride the Lamb’s wife”, “the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven of God”. We always remind the brethren that the word of God is spiritually understood and the scriptures will interpret themselves to us. First we see the Holy City, the New Jerusalem and the reality of this is revealed to us from Hebrews 12:22-24. John was seeing a people not some man made structure we call the church. Second we see that it was “out of God”, then it was born of Him, its origin was out of Him, out of the heavens of God’s spirit and man had nothing to do with creating, instigating it nor was it of the natural realm. Jesus said in John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”. Third we see ‘the bride the Lambs wife”, Paul reveals to us from 2 Corinthians 11:2 and in Ephesians 5:22-32 “ a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church”, we are the bride of Christ. In Revelation 21:23 we read “no need of the sun or the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and the Lamb is its light”. “No need of the sun” (no need of natural light), or the moon” (or reflected light). Jesus said “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12) and also He said “You are the light of the world, a city” (Matthew 5:14). This light in not of ourselves but it is Him in us because the only light we have is Him. The revelation continues (just a note here “until 1560 A.D. there were no verse divisions and numbers included in the bible) on into Revelation 22: 5 “there shall be no night there” (no darkness, no deviation, no devil, because nothing of the adamic nature is left in us). All that remains is Christ who is light, love, truth, etc. From the very beginning (Genesis) we see the purposes and plans of God being fulfilled in us. Each day of creation began in the evening so as His work continues in us and the “Day” gets brighter and brighter. Not only is there “no night” but also “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” is missing from our experience because we only see ”the tree of Life” (Revelation 22:2). Isaiah 14:24; “The Lord of host has sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand”.

     May you experience
the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being
unveiled in you.
Last Sunday at Restoration Living Hope Ministries a brother came up
to me and said; He really appreciated us coming and teaching them
because it has helped them to see that a lot of what they thought was in
the bible was not there at all.
In the beginnings God called the light “Day”, and the darkness He
called “night”(a twist or deviation, away from the light) (Genesis
1:5). Also In Genesis 1:4 we read that God divided the light
from the darkness or we could say Spirt from the flesh, truth from
error, programs, creeds, doctrines (man made substitutes) from reality.
God is “Light” or God is the “Day”. God who has begun a good work in
you will complete it until day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
From the very onset God divided the light from the darkness and He is
still dividing the light from the darkness in us until there is no more
deviations, then the person of Him shines forth. This confidence or
expectations is overshadowed in many believers today because the “Day”
is viewed as a day of the week or some date on the calender, etc. The
reality of Him is lost or the experience is missed. As the deer pants
for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You and You alone are my
hearts desire. When these words become more than words we just sing,
the forms, patterns, types or shadows no longer hold any sway in us
because He who is Light has revealed them to us and we see them as they
are. They are overshadowed by the experience of the real “Day” and we
have no desire for the imitation. Hallelujah!!
Update on my (Bobby) skin cancer surgery. Everything went very
well and the pathology report came back clear. One reason for the cost
being high was that the doctor wanted to do the surgery in the theater
(operating room) because of cleanliness. Praise God!!!
This is a update on our granddaughters surgery (Katrina). Her
surgery was successful the doctor said he got all of the ranula through
the mouth inscission. He said he was so tempted to stoop and cut her
throat instead of working in that small area, since it was so far down
into her throat but he thought about it and the fact that he has a 9
year old daughter that the 4 inch scar she would have on her throat so
he continued on. It had grown and was twisted around many important
parts of her neck. It had almost fully taken over her salivation gland
and that he had to reconstruct. Her major nerve to the neck was also
very much almost affected he had to separate carefully the nerve from
it, her blood vessel to that side had to be severed and cautered off. It
was way down into her mandula muscle of her jaw also. He said those
growths are not tissue respective, which means they take over major
parts regardless of the damage. It all started from a malfunction in her
salivation gland and it had grown all along it to into her mouth. He
reconstructed it though and also the part under her tongue in her mouth.
He said it was only a matter of time it would have moved to her
breathing tube. She stayed one night in the hospital to watch her
breathing, swallowing, and bleeding because of the severed blood vessel
in there could break open and these things are immediately dangerous.
She is doing okay now Praise the Lord.

May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way
each day as He is being unveiled in you.
     Praise the Lord we have
the money for my surgery (Bobby) so we will have it done the first or
second week of June.
In our previous newsletter we mentioned day of Christ, day of
Jesus Christ, day of our Lord Jesus Christ, day of God and day of the
Lord Jesus we see the word ‘of“ except for the Lord’s day in Revelation
1:10. By the word ”of” we come to understand that whatever is
transpiring where we find the word day in reference to the Lord is “of”
Him. When we realize it is “of Him” then we know the origin, source or
nature of it. The very substance of His being is love because “He is
Love” 1 John 4:8. So everything our Father does or allows to
happen is done out of “Love”. If it happened otherwise He would have to
deny Himself or do something contrary to who He is. John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave”. We must prayerfully seek Him
who gives us the understanding that we might know His purposes and
ways. As we mentioned before “God called the light Day” (Genesis
1:5) and God is light (1 John 1:5). The Psalmist tells us
“In your light we see light (Psalm 36:9) and light is
understanding and revelation of Him who is light and without His light
there is no understanding. Without His understanding we are just
fumbling around in the dark trying to figure things out. Another thing
that would greatly enhance our understanding of the matter at hand or
any other subject for that matter is ”the letter of the word (or how it
may appear on the surface) verses the spirit of the word” (2
Corinthians 3:6). You can take the letter of the word and kill the
growth process. In 2 Corinthians 3:15 we read “when Moses (law)
is read, a veil lies on their hearts (mind, understanding). Quite often
we remind the brethren here that in the beginnings God created mankind
in His own likeness and image and what we may have heard or been taught
our Father has not altered His plan one bit. Whatever is “of” Him,
whether severe, harsh, gentle, good, gloom, sadness, destruction, etc.,
we can rest assure as Paul tells us that “all things work after the
counsel of His will” Ephesians 1:11. Light also exposes the
darkness. Paul said in Ephesians 5:13; “all things that are
exposed are made manifest by the light”. We are being conformed into
His own likeness and image then we must realize we are in the hands of
the Master craftsman and are subject to His dealings, stripping,
correction, judgments (corrective measures), purging, chastisement,
instruction, etc and everyone’s journey is different because our Father
knows exactly what is needed to bring us to the place He desires. Some
would prefer that “the mountains and rocks to fall on us and hide us
from His presence” Revelation 6:16-17. Where can we hide from
Him? That place doesn’t exist. The only thing that is able to stand is
that which is of Him, everything of the old man is lost. I can
remember several years ago a very popular preacher quoting from Genesis
6:6 saying “when God had realized He had made a mistake”. My first
thought was if God has made a mistake then we are in a lot of trouble,
it’s time to abandon ship. That would be like saying “the thing formed
to Him that formed it, He has no understanding” (Isaiah 29:15-16);
“the clay is in the potter’s hand” (Jeremiah 18:5-6) and “Does
not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one
vessel for honor and another for dishonor” (Romans 9: 20-21).
What a loving Father we have and His love is beyond human
comprehension!!
